2017 just before Halloween, I set up the “Bloodlines” party.
Thank you, for another wonderful night, at “The Blackwell Manor”.
I bought black velvet for the tablecloth – which was just brilliant!
I also adapted your menu so that everything could be pre-prepared & I could enjoy the game as well as host it.
Spider soup.
Battty Pie
The Grave Escape
I hope you enjoy the photos, because we certainly enjoyed your game. Nicky.
Thanks coopern! For giving us the details, I love the cocktail "Jello" as well, and wondered about the black sugar rim! Delicious looking meal!
I made spicy pumpkin soup, sour cream spider webs and a plastic spider which almost floated.
Beef cooked in a slow cooker the weekend before & frozen, so I only had to defrost & dish up with veggies on the night. The pastry lids sunk and went a bit soggy but I had tested the pastry using a bat cookie cutter the night before, so just threw out the soggy bit & replaced with a pre-cooked crispy pastry bat "cookie". Peppercorns worked for the eyes. Rich chocolate brownie cake "graves" completed when cold with dis-membered skeletons = "The Grave Escape". The eyeballs are lychees stuffed with morello cherries set in raspberry jelly. I made black sugar to rim the cocktail glasses and made up the dishes the night before. A small serve of raspberry ripple icecream completed dessert, I just plated up whilst my friends stacked the mains plates into the dishwasher! Voila!
